Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-07-03
Cizrep is a citizen-reporting platform — people submit reports about what's happening around them (fuel, power, roads, safety, markets, weather, health), and those reports are published so other people in the area can see them. By using Cizrep, you agree to these terms.
What you can post
- Reports must describe something you genuinely witnessed or have direct knowledge of.
- Don't knowingly submit false reports. Confidence scores, corroboration, and moderation exist because false reports put real people at risk and undermine everyone else's trust in the platform.
- Don't use a report to publish another named private individual's home address, phone number, or other identifying detail as an accusation. Naming a public official or business in a factual complaint is fine — doxxing a private citizen is not.
- Don't post content that incites violence, defames a specific named person without basis, or is hate speech targeting a group.
- Live broadcasts follow the same rules — a stream that violates them can be flagged and, past a threshold, is automatically taken down.
Automated and community moderation
Report text is automatically screened for doxxing, defamation, incitement, and hate speech before it's published; anything flagged is held for human review instead of going live automatically. Any user can also flag a specific report as false or abusive — enough distinct flags hide it pending review, independent of the automated check.
Content takedown & appeals
If you believe a report about you (or containing your information) should be removed:
- Flag the report directly from its page (“Flag as false or abusive”), or
- Email reports@cizrep.com with the report link and the reason — impersonation, doxxing, defamation, or factual inaccuracy.
We aim to review takedown requests within 5 business days. If a report is removed in error, or you believe your own report was wrongly hidden, you can appeal by replying to the same address with any evidence supporting your case. Reports that were hidden automatically by community flags (rather than removed outright) can be restored by an administrator once reviewed.
Anonymous reporting
Reporting anonymously hides your identity from other users and the public, not from us — see the Privacy Policy for what that means in practice. Submitting an anonymous report doesn't exempt you from these terms.
Accounts
You're responsible for your account and everything posted from it. We can suspend or remove an account that repeatedly violates these terms.
No warranty
Reports on Cizrep are user-submitted and reflect the reporter's account of events, moderated but not independently verified in every case. Confidence scores are a signal, not a guarantee. Don't treat anything on Cizrep as a substitute for calling emergency services in a genuine emergency.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
